Emma Nishimura is a Toronto based printmaker. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2005, where she specialized in printmaking and photography. Her current practice uses traditional etching and woodblock printing techniques with both Western and fine Japanese papers. She has received a number of awards for her print work as well as a grant from the Ontario Arts Council. Nishimura’s work has been shown in both Canada and the United States. She currently teaches etching at the Toronto School of Art and Open Studio. |
