Rojia is a Vancouver–based artist. She holds an honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo, and also a post-graduate degree in Web and Graphic Design from Sheridan. Past studies also include Le Grand Diploma in cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Her work deals with the question of “creativity”. The act of creativity is the manifestation of one’s interpretations of his/her consciousness into the final form. In the process, she tends to bridge the divide between what is essentially unknown and what is seemingly known by painting objects and entities that are familiar to her in an unmediated and uninterupted manner—stripped of any definition like a child in awe.
