Art Interiors has a pop up exhibition at Yorkville Village (formerly Hazelton Lanes, 55 Avenue Road, lower level just inside the Yorkville entrance) from April 7th-24th.
Here is a glimpse into the main floor art collection of Lisa Diamond, Art Interiors co-founder. Lisa shares her philosophies on collecting, the challenges of moving your art collection to a new home, and what she is currently collecting.
Award-winning photographer, Peter Andrew, has a dream studio in an industrial/residential neighbourhood in Toronto's west end. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous to shoot Andrew's space, as I had yet to photograph one of our photographers, and felt that the pressure was on. But Andrew eased my fears immediately. Not only did he lend me a very impressive looking flash, but he even pre-selected which photographs were the strongest.
Peter Andrew's photographs are often shot from obscure places or points of view. Whether in a remote area of Iceland, or outside a helicopter capturing a highway below, these vast, unpopulated scenes are always cinematic.
