Alanna began her career as a commercial illustrator where she worked for clients such as The New York Times, Chronicle Books, and Target. In 2006 she moved into printmaking and soon after her silk screen prints began to appear in design magazines and blogs including Canadian House + Home, Covet Garden, Style at Home, Arren William's Design lab and Remodelista.

Alanna's humourous and economical style is influenced by artists from the 1950s such as Andy Warhol, Miroslav Sasek and Saul Bass.

Her prints have been described as 'whimsical and modern with a fun retro twist' and are equally suited to traditional and contemporary interiors.

Recently Alanna was chosen one of five local artists to watch in Where magazine's Essential Guide to Toronto.
