Canadian-born artist Ramona Nordal began her art exploration at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia. Here she studied under internationally renowned Canadian artist Dennis Burton and focused on colour theory, anatomy drawing and painting. Her ambitious use of colour and style of acrylic painting create an overwhelming sense of energy in her work. Nordal thrives on deliberately mixing past and present cultural influences in her work and the end result is both captivating and refreshing. The subjects in Nordal’s paintings are reminiscent of times past with an edgy modern flare. Ramona Nordal currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
