Sheri Kasprow's current body of work explores abstraction within the
landscape genre, which focuses on exploring the mindspaces within an
environment rather than depicting a particular place. The paintings
also call to mind the confidently effortless markmaking of calligraphy
to depict only essential qualities within the stillness of the landscape. Kasprow graduated with a BFA from Emily Carr Institute. She
works primarily in two-dimensional mediums with a diverse body of work
in various forms of printmaking, photography and acrylic painting.
