Sonja Brown

Sonja has been creating art since she was a young child. At University of Waterloo, she studied Mathematics and subsequently pursued a career in teaching high school Mathematics. During this time, she maintained her interest in art by attending regular classes and workshops exploring variety of mediums. She currently resides in Grafton, Ontario where she enjoys experimenting with colour and composition in her studio space. While she enjoys painting portraits, and creating abstract landscapes as well, she is often inspired by objects found around the kitchen which she incorporates into her colourful small still life compositions. She has displayed her work in several local public spaces.
