Friend and former Art Interiors manager Larissa Furlong boasts an impressive and personally familiar collection of art. Known to me are the works of art she purchased from the gallery over the many years we worked together. Larissa's reaction to art was always immediate: she fell in love quickly and knew when she had to own a particular piece.
Here are a few more examples of groupings, with new smalls work.
I strolled along picturesque, snowy Rosedale streets last Friday, losing my way only once, until I reached the house of client Mimi Wood. Mimi shares a beautiful home with her husband, three children and dog, who enthusiastically greeted me at the door. I was immediately taken by Joshua Jensen-Nagle’s romantic photograph of a blurry Elizabeth Taylor, that is visible from her entrance, and hangs in a dreamy living room.
I would have dreamed to have grown up in these rooms, surrounded by pretty paintings, silkscreens, antique etchings, and bright abstract works. Art Interiors' owners Lisa and Shira have filled their daughters' bedrooms with original artworks that are sweet and whimsical. Far from childlike, these pieces will eventually find their way on dorm room walls, and in first homes.
